He was an amazing dr. After having been through numerous hospitals and repeatedly told I was destined for a life of hemodialysis and not much more, and with no explanations for why I was in kidney failure at 42 to begin with....I ended up at Yale and thankfully, initially under the watchful eye of Dr Cantley. He took the time to literally sit bedside and explain eye to eye what was happening and how and what his plan of care was. He was kind, brilliant and patient and made sure I understood clearly every time he came in to speak with me. He came in often to update me during the process and was truly unforgettable as were all of my caregivers at Yale. The most incredible facility I've ever exoerienced. Truly top notch.
