We stopped here as part of the Harvest Hosts program to spend the night in our RV. It was a good site with plenty of room. We also visited the museum which was smaller than we expected but very nice with friendly staff. It was also very affordable for a family of six. Overall I'd say if you're in the area, it's totally worth checking out!

Me, my 3 kids ages 3,3,4, my sister, her two kids (ages 8 and 11), and our mom went on the Easter train. We got to see the Easter Bunny, Conductor, was given treat bags, and each kid got to hunt 12 eggs when we got back to the station. Each egg had different things in it which was nice for a change, some was stickers, balls, or puzzels. My kids enjoyed the train and the egg hunt!
Our scenic trip from New Haven to New Hope was quite enjoyable! The kids saw the countryside as they had never been able to before. We took their pictures with the conductor and of course The Easter Bunny! The egg hunt was an extra plus upon our Return! Thank you KY Railway for all you do to make this possible!
Much more that expected. The museum was excellent and spanned more than just the Kentucky rail system. The displays of authentic items used from all eras of trains. The train ride was not speedy, it was slower and very enjoyable. My wife was surprised by the entire experience. If I could find one fault it would be the old stock was not as accessible for photos as I hoped.
Great Experience. I took the 1PM train for the 1.5 hour ride. It was awesome and scenic. Boarding was easy and everyone wore a . Great gift shop as well!!
Lovely place! The people working there are absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful! It's best to reserve a train ride online before you arrive. But if you happen to not, and there's available seating, the staff will get you together and make sure you get a seat on the train ride! You're free to roam the grounds minding the safety and restriction signs. Photography is permitted.
I took my children and family on their Santa Express train ride experience. The kids loved meeting Santa, singing Christmas carols with Santas helpers, really enjoyed when the helpers read the night before Christmas book and loved the snow machines! Everyone was so sweet. We will absolutely be adding this to our yearly Holiday Family Traditions.
I had an absolute blast at the museum and taking a leisurely train ride with my two boys. The museum isn't really big, but it has an awesome model train set that spans the length of the large room (it's really impressive) and has lots of little artifacts from the good ole days that are interesting to learn about. The train ride itself was fantastic. The conductor was really friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The ride was leisurely and enjoyable. I had fun just gazing out the windows and moving at a slow pace. It was nice to be taken back in time. The only thing to keep in mind, and this isn't a criticism, is that there's no restrooms on board the train (ride is 1.5 hrs with a stop half way) and there's not much in terms of food and drink selection. There's nothing on the trains and there's only small selection at the museum before departure. The stop in Boston, KY does allow you to go into a convenient store so it's not like you don't have a chance to grab a snack. Again, that is in no way a complaint, just providing info for people that might assume there's food on the train itself. All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back!
