Lived at a NLE building for 3 years. The lease and company were fine, and I was always able to get in touch with someone when needed. More often than not office staff were willing and able to assist with problems. My building manager was also very helpful. Only issue was with maintenance which would either not show up or would be called back repeatedly for the same issues.

Enjoyed our 2.5 years with Newland. Maintenance and office responded in a timely manner. Move out went well, received our full security deposit back. Followed the rules in the lease and used their move out checklist, couldn't have been a more simple and defined process. Overall a great experience and would rent again!

We just moved in a month ago at their Royall Place Apartments. We have had nothing but a positive experience with New Land from the very beginning. We moved here from IL and New Land was so accommodating with everything. Every request we had for maintenance was answered and resolved super fast! Truly the best apartment management we’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend New Land in Milwaukee!

Management is rude at best. Terrible communication, when communication even occurs. They do not value the safety and happiness of their residents. Units are subpar at best. Still waiting on security deposit that is almost 3 weeks late, and no one will return calls or give straight answer.

I would not recommend renting from NLE. I was a tenant at 2 of their buildings over the course of 3 years. The maintenance crews were skilled and polite, but management didn't seem to give them appropriate tools/funding to really take care of the buildings. The buildings themselves are of average to below average quality. Management just barely meets expectations. They often fail to communicate important information (i.e. when major work would be done to common areas, when a building manager quits/who to contact instead) and are often snooty and unhelpful via email. Generally, the tenants are required to follow a whole slew of rules, but management only follows their own rules when it suits them. NLE bleeds you of money wherever they can; For pets, they charge a non-refundable deposit of 300, as well as a 50 monthly pet rent, which is twice the usual cost at other properties in the area. If you get locked out, they charge you 150 to send someone to let you back in. If you need a place to just park your body whenever you're not at work, they're fine, but don't expect your experiences with management to be happy interactions.
