The sula lunch set for 2 is great value for money. Check it the photos. It's missing a hot side dish as we are busy eating. Taste wise is above average. Would definitely come back again. I read s lot of poor reviews on services here but I personally find that the service is fantastic! Was the first customer here during lunchtime which subsequently increase to 3 tables. There's only one waitress so if you are in a rush, I suggest giving them ample lead time to fetch the bill.

This was my first experience of Korean BBQ, but given how it panned out it won't be my last. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We were quickly seated at one of the BBQ equipped tables and left to browse through the menu. We ordered a bunch of different things to share, it was all good. The may seemed to go in forever and the experience of cooking it at your table was a fun novelty. I'd certainly come back here again, the food was good and so was the welcome.
I arrived cold, hungry and lonely. The waitress was welcoming and helpful. The ambiance was warm and friendly. The food was delicious. Fast service. I left warm, satisfied and happy. Thank you.
This place is not as good as it used to be. We went on Friday evening and it was very quiet. While the food was okay you didn't get the quantity you used to. The BBQ only came with three small standard Korean sides dishes and you had to pay extra for the lettuce. You used to get a lot of more for the same price. The green tea had one generic tea bag for two and was thus very weak. The bibimbap even had beef crossed out on the menu but cost the same!
Fantastic food excellent hospitality, it can be a little daunting and the menu a little complicated, you won't find much English spoken but they are always keen to help, go with an open mind and experience a taste sensation. Simply the best Korean food in new Malden, make sure you have the BBQ, set menus are a great place to start. Sushi is excellent there but not normally available lunch times.
Read all the hype about this place so went down to see what it's like. Lets get the negatives out of the way first. The décor is to be frank, poor. Bits of wall are hanging off but it was clean. Service was efficient if not friendly. But the real reason we eat out is because we can't cook food to that standard at home and this is where Su La excels. Food is delicious. I have lived in Asia for years and this is the real deal. Excellent, tasty and not too pricey. The place was full of ex-pat Koreans and that should tell you all you need to know.
Went on a quiet Wednesday night. Very good, efficient service and a lovely atmosphere, though food was a little slow to come out. Food itself was delicious, though! Beef ribs and dolsot bibimbap, especially, were great. Made up for the soggy and plain sweet and sour pork. Overall pretty good!
Left with an inward glow of satisfaction. Food in this pleasant Korean restaurant smelt right, felt right and tasted right to this former expatriate. Proper set of side dishes, pleasant service with no significant language challenge, well presented. And those dinky little bell pushes by the table to help you draw the attention of the staff to your wishes.
