First post-lockdown beers in this decent pub. Big garden so a pretty good atmosphere with a good crowd. Service was very pleasant and efficient, though my friend had a problem with the iPhone version of the ordering app (they do have an outside order station to order manually and pay by card). Food was unexpectedly good (burger was great, stick toffee pudding welcome on cold evening). No outside heating or overhead shelter ... Wrap up warm if the weather look to be chilly.

Really nice pub with a good sized beer garden. Parking at pub is limited but can park on side streets. Look out for the comedy nights they have here, well worth a visit.

Had a excellent experience in this place with my kid. The food was served quick and the service is just fantastic. Prices are fair.

This was my first visit to The Royal Oak, as I was on my way to see a client, but needed a bite to eat. The food was decent and service from one member of staff good, although the other team member gave the impression she was doing you a favour. Certainly would return again as I’d like to try other dishes on the very good menu.

I recently discovered The royal Oak Pub. We visited for a comedy Evening upstairs We took a few minutes to get around the idea it's all app based service to the table but once it was set up it was straight forward. The food was good and the service while upstairs was faultless. My one issue was once our event finished and we were asked to move downstairs it was unclear if we could just take a table or if we had to be seated or have a reservation. The staff werent so friendly when my friend attempted to down the last of his pint and leave and was told off about his mask not covering his lips. Unfortunately it left a sour note in our mouths and we left to find a venue with less rude staff. This having been our first visit to a pub since February made us less prepared for the new style of service and new aggressive stance staff have taken on. We tried to apologise for the misunderstanding on being sat or covering face. I wont let this put me off visiting however I shall be more vigilant about my service I recieve The staff I encountered in the event were much more polite and welcoming and agreed the staff shouldn't have been so rude to a group of new customers.
