My visit to the New Milton branch of Specsavers was wonderful and I've been to many other. On arrival I was let in by a handsome man with equally lovely hair, though wearing a mask I could tell by his eyes was greeting me with a smile. He said his name was Louis and kindly helped me with my needs whilst making me feel at ease with gentle small talk. I've been inside and alone for so long during this pandemic it was refreshing to have the care and attention of such a nice young man.

Welcome on arrival terrible, tall thin young chap just stood staring at me with raised eyebrows. He eventually asked if I needed help and when I said I had an appointment seemed to let me in reluctantly. As I browsed I suddenly became aware of talking, only to find the same young man saying something to me in the middle of serving somebody else. Not the usual Specsavers politeness. Otherwise a good visit, although I was nudged away from the cheaper frames to the more expensive a few times.
