I went here with 4 others so I was sure to get a lot of pictures of our food. This place is amazing! They have a tasting menu that has 4 courses and they do change their menu regularly so dont be surprised if any of these items are not on there. We had amazing cocktails to start off then we each went through the four courses. They also start you off with some compliments of the chef ours was leak mousse with local caviar. I really can't explain how great this place is and pictures just don't do it justice. Its not the cheapest but it is well worth it!

Make a reservation. Wonderful for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. For one spectacular dinner in New Orleasn this is the place. Start with a cocktail, Order a bottle of wine from their amazing cellar. The menu is very french and limited but made with the freshest and finest ingredients.

I would highly recommend going if you are a foodie. The atmosphere is perfect! The dishes are to die for! I would rank it as one of my Top 3 restaurants in the U.S.

New Years Eve and I wanted to end this year with something special. August was every bit that and more. I have eaten at every high end restaurant in this city and several over the rest of the country, but I do believe August is a top contender. The restaurant was beautiful, elegant with a charm that belies the past. The staff from the onset were accommodating and helpful with choosing the four course meal. Every course was amazing, with the light and ethereal gnocchi dumplings with crab and black truffles. Unbelievably rich and decadent. The main course of waygu strip steak could have been cut with a butter knife. Presented on a bed of creamed potatoes and a creamed spinach. Amazing! I will say this is a special occasion meal unless your pocketbook is overflowing with money, but well worth the occasional gastronomic feat.

I love coming across the lake to this place from time to time. The food is always good, and never a disappointment.
