Jess and the wonderful team went above and beyond to ensure my stay and event was nothing less than spectacular. My 40th dinner party had the most magnificent unique menu was created by a very talented chef. Breakfast on the Sunday was the perfect ending to the most memorable experience. I highly recommend anyone. Local or tourist to put this place as a must experience!

This is now my favourite hotel to stay in Hobart. We booked it first time and stayed there Jan 2021. It was my Husband’s birthday and the hotel upgraded our room for free. Amazing and friendly service! Delicious and seasonal restaurant! Incredible building and extremely spacious and comfortable rooms! Overall experience 6 out of 5! Recommend! Recommend! Recommend!
We can see why Maylands gets such great reviews! Amazing friendly staff, rooms were absolutely immaculate. Such a unique building and experience. Would 100% stay here again
I haven’t stayed here but was given the chance to have a pre-opening tour. This mansion was built in 1887 as a statement home for a wealthy mercantile family descended from a convict, it has also served as a home for girls and as the State headquarters of the Salvation Army. It was bought a couple of years back by a local family who have renovated it to become an upmarket boutique hotel, set to open later this week. It has been lovely to watch Maylands being brought back to life over recent months. It looks very comfortable.
Amazing hotel. Everything done in style- from rooms to food to service, absolutely fabulous.
From the moment that we arrived we were looked after and made feel so welcome. The property is magnificent and has been renovated with such respect for the period. Rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious and the small details such as the styling, technology and lighting make it incredible. Food and coffee was delicious and nothing was too hard for the staff, Jesse looked after us and made our stay lovely.
My wife and I enjoyed a short stay at Maylands Lodge. The host upon arrival was very welcoming and showed us to our room. The breakfast the following morning was outstanding, and the dining room itself was sublime. Only minor critique I have is the rooms themselves are a bit dated in design and could have a more modern touch. Some faulty aspects such as broken bins and “aged/stained” toilet seats could be fixed easily. But otherwise we had a good stay and would visit again next time we’re in Hobart.
