Much brighter than I remember from a few decades ago. For a "sports bar" not at all loud and obnoxious.

The Talbot Hotel is a great traditional local pub, offering a relaxed atmosphere, good food and a decent range of beverages. Located on New Town Road, it is central to anyone living in the area, are passing through. Definitely recommended.

Not sure yet but a lovely lady answered the phone unfortunately only to tell me that they'd just closed so unfortunately the hours below are all incorrect on the fb page. No idea about what description is on the web page re hours maybe they are correct on there? the food looks good and also they do take away wine as well as food and I was hoping for both! Now I'm even hungrier... will still try them out as the lady said that she would have them changed, and even though they were literally about to walk out the door she still asked me how long it would take me to get there... Too bad I don't live across the road :)
