Tried their GlenDronach pairing lunch. Loved the 18 & 21. Mixed of smoothness & oakiness. Food is good too.
The only restaurant that still has available seats during dinner time at CHIJMES, hence the group of 4 of us went to New Ubin Seafood @ CHIJMES. The fried baby squid is crispy & yummy & the only dish I like here. The kailan & claypot bean curd did not taste fresh. It has not turn bad yet but you know it’s not fresh. The crispy pork jowls (face of the pig) taste crispy & porky. Service is ok. We also have sambal mackerel, too spicy, probably to camouflage the not so freshness of the fish.
3.5* max because the food is very average, no surprise for a restaurant that has such a long and mixed menu! Service and ambience is ok. Quite disappointed because I had much higher expectations based on the average reviews!
The beef and foie gras are really good
The Boss Bee Hoon got the 锅气. Very yummy. The Hokkien mee is their signature too. But the Brinjal delight and fried oyster eggs were a little disappointing.
Lovely food and always worth to come back for the local flavours and yummilicious dishes! Best with family and friends!
This is always my favorite place if I want to taste a combination of high quality beef and chili crab. Beef plate with minimum of 500 gram includes crispy fried potatoes and fried rice cooked with beef fat. Beef is tender and fried rice flavor is irresistible. 800 gram Chili crab is done perfectly.
