I was surprised that this is not already on the site. After all that media mashing on the anniversary of 9/11 I needed a martini. No better place in city than good old fashioned Harris'. The martini comes in a little bucket! Oysters(bluepoints) are served with 3 sauces,Steaks done to perfection.Leather banquettes,dim lighting,privacy,excellent service.If you hail from the east coast, this is where your Dad always went. Try it for old time charm.

Perfect NYC brunch spot! Their platters are great. Everything is high quality and fresh. Orange juice is freshly squeezed. Remember to bring cash as they don’t take credit cards. They have outdoor dining set up and there may be some wait time on the weekends.

Barney Greengrass is part of what makes New York New York. Absolute commitment to curating the absolute best gourmet foods anywhere, with the focus on offering the best in smoked fish (the sturgeon really is something transcendent), bagels, and cream cheese. Between COVID and the holidays their mail order business, which runs out of the same space as the restaurant and the deli counter, with the same people packing boxes and serving walk in customers, has made the store a bit of a mad house. It's difficult to get in and out and to navigate the chaos in the store, but still worth it for what they offer.
