The food was tasty and and creative. The alcholic drinks were tasteless boring and lack of imagination. the service was very good it deserve 5 stars. Comparing to other restaurants at the same level of food and service, the prices were outrages. No wonder they can operate only 3 nights a week.
The button line: fantastic! Chef Eyal Shani is known as a magician of food, driven by a unique and different perspective on life and the universe and gifted with a rich imagination. Eyal takes raw ingredients, always the best can be found, and find a way to express and emphasize their essence in a way that one bite leads to tears of happiness. Much more exciting than dozens of ingredients and sophisticated techniques presented on the plate. The influence of the Palestinian kitchen on chef Eyal is known for a long time and nowadays, in New York - the Japanese kitchen is getting infused into the dishes, but not taking over. The HaSalon is different than most restaurants, but since it is connected so strongly to ground Earth, it is very accessible.
If you love good food, this is the place for you. If you are budget conscious, this is not the place for you. We had the Ricotta Clouds, Leek Sashimi, Ocean Treasures, Mezze de Burekas and the Dinosaur. Each was meticulously prepared, full of flavour and presented beautifully.
This is an amazing restaurant. We came early in the evening, and were able to see the restaurant in its full glory (before the real party environment started later in the evening). What a stunning place! The minute you walk in, you are transformed into another world- piles of fresh vegetables lined up tantalizingly on the open kitchen layout counter, friendly and professional wait staff, great décor and big, roomy chairs and a vast room filled with classical music. The food started coming out, and each plate was truly magical. From the 12 Foot Long Pici Noodle with Sage to the many incredible vegetable dishes we ordered and the massive fish we received, everything was perfect, mouthwatering, and a true delight. Each mouthful was a celebration. The atmosphere is inimitable, and it is difficult to want to leave. As the night progresses, and the music becomes more dynamic, a palpable energy fills the room. We even caught a wedding proposal in the corner' of the main room. The entire restaurant was entranced. A night to remember.
Wow! Such an amazing spot! One of the best I have been at! From the vibe and the music by DJ omri engle to the stuff and chefs and everything! So amazing! They even have different chairs in the entire restaurant!!! Crazy! The food was so delicious! We tried the tomatoes, the avo toast. The sashimi, chops, and the carpaccio, and all was so good I cant describe! delicious! I will be back !
Place is a straight up rip off. 83 for a grouper fillet that was supposed to be one of the best dishes and have plenty of vegetables. The only Vegetable that was there was onion. My grandma would have been more creative than this chef.
Unique, tasteful, Warm, Fun, good Vibes and so much more - words cant describe-simply go have a night to yourselves or better yet come with Friends & Family - this is the place to come enjoy socially with any of them. Tastes are out of this world by Eyal Shani. High end and yet totally down to earth-a mix that can only be delivered by him and his team. Worth every minute of your time.
