wonderful fresh cooking, in a space that feels homey and cozy but not precious. get a seat in the back if you can - like being in a NYC brownstone.. and really terrific waiters. Love the brunch. an unexpected gem in an otherwise blah block

I arrived at this very well designed, visually appealing pub on the coldest night of the year so far this January 2014. I was greeted by the kindest, educated, and generous waiters, James and Jackson. I learned a lot about how they flavor their tequilas and bourbons. My date and I had such a memorable experience. I shall definitely be back to visit them again. Lots of Love Whitehall!
Came here with one of my foodie friends who had heard about their gin selection. And wow... they really do have shelf-fulls of gin. The food is pretty good but no one goes there for the food. The food is like a gin appetizer. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth a try, and a repeat visit if you want to try an exotic gin without buying the whole bottle.
A true gem, this West Villager is great for brunch, and not just because they'll hook you up with a tasty gin-based bloody mary. The slice of beet and egg on their burger will leave you talking, and the white-tiled room is stylish and effortless at the same time. The nicest touch? The staff all wear single roses clipped to their lapels with a clothespin. Maybe I'll try this next time I go out.
I loved everything about this place. I loved the bespoke cocktails, the comfort food, the decor and the staff. I also loved the cheeky hints of English culture.
If you are in the West Village and looking for a quality quality gin and tonic, Whitehall is the place to be. Over 40 different gins as well as some custom tonics make for a very enjoyable experience in this lightly British themed gastro pub. They serve high quality pub fare that is well worth ordering.
Nice place for a happy hour gin and special tonic. Brunch is better here than the crazy place across the street by far... but lets keep that between you and I.
Our favorite place in the West Village for gourmet English comfort food. The cocktails are great, particularly if you're a gin-lover.
