This is an absolutely fantastic home care service. They were brilliant at adapting their approach to my mother's needs and wishes, and were endlessly thoughtful and caring. They would keep me well informed of any concerns or thoughts they had about her, and because of this, we were able to work in partnership to support her. They looked after my mother for several years at home, initially just for 2 hours a week and at that point coping with her belief that she did not need any help, and latterly giving four carer visits a day and supporting most of her practical, personal care, and emotional needs. They specialise in caring for people with dementia, but were happy to look after her even though she was not willing to go through the formal diagnostic process. They are a small service, which means that you can rely on them to give a high degree of continuity and a truly personal approach. I worked for 37 years as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, specialising with older people. Since I retired I have been working privately and volunteering with a dementia charity, so over the years I have seen an awful lot of carers and care agencies. In all that time, I have never seen a care service as good as Silver Service Carers. I was so lucky finding them. I think the things which most stand out about John and the carers are their genuine concern to do their best, their skill and kindness, and the real personal relationships they formed with me and with my mother. I really cannot praise them highly enough.
