I and my husband tried hotpot for the very first time. We were quite apprehensive at first but the place was clean and the staff were super helpful with picking the things we’d enjoy. This place was amazing. They’re one of the few places that have dine in option available in Newark right now , so if you’re in east bay don’t miss out on this place. Everything was fresh and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely visit again.

I don’t care where you are going or what you are doing. Sitting on the toilet, driving your car, watching the Super Bowl on the international space station....GO HERE NOW!!! The moment the food touches your lips, the clouds will part, your ex will try to get back together, and Santa will become real. They also have baby octopus.
Service at Yi hotpot Newark was really good, with staff circulating regularly. The cleanliness of the restaurant is moderate, though, and the decor could use some repairs (tables were damaged). The food is always on point, earning a bonus star for consistency. We never have to worry about our orders and the dessert area is always stocked. I keep going back to Yi hotpot, so this is a definite recommend from me.

This is recommended! They welcome you even though you go alone. They have a mini pot for a single customer. I love this! The soups are tasty. The ingredients are fresh. The staff are friendly and caring. The price is reasonable too.
What can I say about this place?!? Well, I have come here close to ten times. It can be a bit confusing the first time. The form they lets you mark on the Al la carte menu. They also have combo on the menu for people who are have trouble with too many selection :) We usually pick the half and half for soup bases. Original broth and spicy broth. The spicy broth is my favorite, but many of my friends find it too spicy. Then select the meats, veggies, and noodles you want. They bring all of them out, and you can start cooking it in your broth. What I love about it is that it is an event that lets you bond and do stuff together instead of just eat and leave. I highly recommend going. Lastly, the weekends are insane there. But it’s worth the wait.
