We absolutely love Dr Engen, Jan and Cindy. Love the care and compassion, and the no frills approach. Good old fashioned vet office with a vet that doesn't beat around the bush or do a bunch of unnecessary testing like many vets do. We will be forever grateful for the love, concerned and excellent care Dr Engen and the girls gave our beautiful girl. They have become family and care about their patients and their families.

I cant begin to tell you how grateful i am to these folks. They were compassionate and caring not only for my dog Bailey but also to me.
Warning: heartbreaking story ahead... I had just moved to Newberry with my 18 year old cat, a blessing already. Knowing no one and not having a car, I perhaps took it for granted that she was in excellent health for her age and didn't bother looking for a vet. She suddenly had a stroke and so I ran to the closest vet that I could find on foot. College Animal Hospital only takes cash, and so Jan the receptionist offered to drive me to an ATM. Alas the stroke was severe and by 3pm she was struggling to breathe. Jan once again came by to get us for a second and last ride. Dr. Egan ushered me out of the room and put her down humanely. My heart has been breaking ever since, but I can't think of a more loving and professional place to have spent my last moments with my kitty. You will NOT find more excellent customer service anywhere in upstate SC. Thanks again, guys.
No, my pets don't like to go but I like to go here. They are wonderful working with my dog and 5 cats in a regular visit or a sick visit. Very straightforward instructions for me to follow. Very personable for pets and people!
Expensive to be so out of date with computers, phones, building, rooms. Often hard to reach someone there. Could be friendlier BUT take great care of my pet. A lot to be said for life experience. Always very thorough and direct with instructions which I prefer. You know up front costs for the most part ( some emergency type services may cost more). Note: cash or check only! No credit cards.
