We went from Sunday till Thursday after fireworks at the bridge. We had a fantastic time with our kids. Definitely coming back again. Start of a new 4th of July tradition for our family. Located within a short drive to many things to see and do. Beautiful area to explore and camp ground is very well kept.

Beautiful park located on a lake across the street from lake superior! Don't take the back roads! They aren't clearly labeled and we noticed some sports cars having a difficult time making it through the sand and 2 tracks! Great rocks for rock hunting!

Beautiful walk to this beach. My first visit to thur UP. Weather was cool with a slight wind. Lots of rocks rounded by the lake to look at.

Nice quiet SP, and spacious campsites. Very clean restrooms/ showers. They enforced mask wearing in the restroom area and cleaned and disinfected the showers and restrooms at least 3 times a day. We felt Covid safe the whole time. Lots of Rangers that drove through regularly. Only bad thing ( if you view it as bad)was, it was 30 minutes from civilization( grocery stores and restaurants) and phone/ internet was unavailable at the campgrounds w our Verizon phone. Definitely would stay there again if we are in the area.We enjoyed going down to the big lake after dark, looking for Yooper lites.

This place was so beautiful. It is part of the North County Trail, and there is another path as well. There are picnic tables by the parking lot. There is a path to the beach, which is covered in rocks. It is a gorgeous beach! There is information about agates on a sign near the parking lot.

Awesome place to camp. Short walk to both Muskallonge Lake and Lake Superior. Facilities are very clean and well maintained. All the campers were friendly and there to enjoy nature. Not really any bad camp sites. Easy access. The town is a ways away so make sure you get gas and food before heading out. Driving distance to many of the UP attractions.

Musksllonge offers campground frontage and a beach on Muskallonge Lake, a small inland lake, as well as a separate beach on Lake Superior. Campspots are available in a central location near the main bathroom and beach on Muskallonge Lake or in the wooded loops closer to the boat ramp. The beach on Lake Superior is within walking or biking distance, and there are a couple parking places. Muskallonge Lake is great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing or other quiet boating activities. Muskallonge State Park is remote - about 30 miles northeast of Newberry, MI - but it is within driving distance of Tahquamenon Falls and White Fish Point. A longer trip is possible to Munising with its many waterfalls and Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. The park does not have a camp store, but there is a great little privately owned store not far away that knows campers needs. The closest main shopping is in Newberry about 30 miles away. Reservations are available for camping.

Do not rent site 75 (what we were on) with our 30ft TT. We made it work and had the blessing of GREAT site mates (the site next road over shared our land space and it was TIGHT, and they had a very small A frame trailer). And the WHOLE site was on a pretty good hill towards the road. But what a beautiful campground. Lots of goose poop too, I heard the park station has a rake to borrow, but bc of covid we just went to Newberry and bought one at Ace. Muskallonge Lake for labor day was gorgeous. We swam and we also got to walk to Lake Superior and swim thanks to a southern wind. (Which made the campground miserable to stay in tho)
