My husband and his family came here almost every year when they were little. So he wanted to bring me here to show me what he loved so much about Michigan. I understand now. It's amazing in the U.P.

The campground is well maintained. We had site 64 which is a full hookup and rather large site. We could of fit my cousin camper who stayed on site 27 along with ours with room to spare with this site. The site is also level which was nice. Mary at the front desk was very kind and helpful. They are in the process of remodeling. The showers were clean and spacious and the laundry room was adequate. The pool was clean and warm as advertised.
This was an amazing trip. It was so nice staying in such a wonderful campground. The owner at the desk was so wonderful so sweet and nice. It was great being able to get wood right on site and it was dry and very well priced. The store had most of what we needed even somethings we didn’t know we needed. The pool was amazing so clean. The bathrooms were clean and great. Thanks for such a wonderful stay can’t wait till we come back that way again. If I could give more stars I would. Will be recommending this place to everyone.
It's nice, quiet, and secluded compared to other campgrounds I've been to. Accessible water, restrooms, and showers that are cleaned regularly are great. Easy to access firewood is a plus as well. Even though it rained most of my stay here, it was a great experience and the staff is super nice and friendly. If you're an avid camper and camp in harmony with nature, this is the place for you.
This is a nice campground with a pool, horseshoes, RV and tent sites. We received a discount because although we booked via their website, they didn’t have 30 amp full hookup available when we arrived. They had 50 amp but we didn’t have a converter. We are new to RV ing and will buy a converter, as this probably will happen again. . The weather was beautiful.
Great place! You get what you pay for here. In another words, you get a lot! TONS of different sites. Rvs, tents with water and electricity as well as rustic tent camping with a fire pit and a picnic table. We bought 2 sites to distance ourselves in a back corner and it was amazing. Tons of beautiful terrain on the edges of basically every camp spot. The office has a game room, supply store for basically anything you'd need except food, with 24/7 LAUNDRY (when things get wet). They also have a pool and mini golf near the front. Check them out!
This campground is excellent. The staff is fantastic - friendly and extremely helpful. The sites are spacious and well kept. Clean bathrooms and hot showers! We were traveling and decided to make our way back here because it was the best campground within 200 miles. Highly recommend. Pool, arcade room and small playground for kids. Two gas stations and a few places to eat nearby. Also if you are here, it is well worth it to check out the trading post in Newberry - beautiful handmade furniture and art. Overall great experience for us and our dog.
Cannot say enough good things about this campground. The sites were clean and very spacious. The owner was absolutely the best to work with. She made sure my 3 sites were next to each other and bent over backwards in a few other ways during our stay. The bathrooms, shower rooms and laundry rooms were very clean and functional. We plan to visit again!
