The roadway approaching this engineering marvel was a pleasure to drive upon. Not only was I impressed by the road conditions but was also pleasantly surprised to see that in keeping with the Blue Mountain theme, the entrance to the tunnel is painted blue! How nice! However, I am sad to report that is where my excitement ended. Upon entering said tunnel, I happened to notice that a large percentage of the crusty tile they chose to put on the walls are no longer there...where are these tiles? And why has no one come to remedy this situation. It mad me feel rather uneasy to visually see that the tunnel is indeed falling apart. I looked up the tunnel out of curiosity to learn when this was constructed and am appalled at the fact that it was built in 1940 and appears that no one has cared about it since. Quite upsetting if you ask me. Will not be using this tunnel again.

Best tunnel ever!!!!! Straight, well lit,and a true pleasure to drive through. The only thing preventing me from giving five stars are the some what narrow lanes. Give me another inch...

Supposely billions of dollars in debt.. Here's a thought put cameras up before entering tunnel for every car not having lights on upon entering automatic fine and for the even dumber drivers who choses to shift lanes in tunnel an automatic triple fine plus chance of losing your license!

This is a long tunnel. Very well maintained. It's important to take off one's shades a mile or two before entering the tunnel
