Accidentally left my phone in the cabbies car. I called them to retrieve it and was told 30 mins for a taxi to arrive, and was given excuse after excuse after turning up 1 hour and a half later. Awful service. And was then told I needed to pay for it to be returned when it arrived. Avoid at all costs, customer service is abysmal. Edit: While I appreciate that the phone was returned, and that it was a busy Saturday night, the distance covered is irrelevant, we essentially paying for another fare, so in any case, you were still getting paid for the mileage and time you would of taken to drop the phone back. We called you at least 4 or 5 times to try and get a time frame, you told us \20/25 minutes\ every time. I would not be that annoyed if you originally said 1 hour and a half to begin with; if we were a customer who rang for the taxi service itself, do YOU think it's acceptable to give a time for your service and then not meet it time and time again. I mean, your business model is surely one that is based on punctuality and speed of completing your jobs is it not? Also, from the very beginning I asked you where the best place to collect the phone from was, you said you would drop it to us. We never initially asked for you to do so; essentially you are trying to justify your poor service by slamming my review, when in reality you wanted to charge us for the service or returning the phone, which is why you didn't want us to collect the phone from your HQ. The fact your sarcastic reply with your \P.S\ at the end was even added shows you are genuinely non receptive of your customers concerns. The irony here is you were so annoyed at my review, you posted a rude and sarcastic reply, which will ultimately reflect poorly on your professionalism as a business. Good luck.
Ave Cabs have been brilliant every time I use them for work and socially they never let you down. Drivers always friendly and very helpful. Always able to book wheelchair taxis when required and nothing is to much trouble for all drivers. Also I can't Thank them enough for getting us to Newbury Races to our meet and greet with Sir Tom Jones. Best Taxi Co Ever *****
An Excellent service . Our driver , Monty, took us to Heathrow and brought us back - 3 weeks later. He was on time for the collect and, more importantly, was waiting for us at the airport on our return, having texted us to say he was waiting. Excellent driver and very engaging - not too chatty but good conversation. Will use again!
