Nice walk With great views. You can also see Highclere Castle in the distance.

Went for a walk the other day and only went as far as the gate. The mud was more than ankle deep! Saw one gent slip over. The car park was divided by a very big puddle, with only 4x4 or brave people parked on the other side. Abandoned this walk and went in search of another. This is a beautiful hill to climb, but today was not the day for it!

only new of this place when researching how to see highclere for free , its a steep walk near the top , good boots and stamina .well worth it .views are amazing however if your going up for pics of highclere you need a good lense on camera .theres a small carpark if you follow the sign for beacons hill then highclere stud gets you there

I just love this place. Quick but steep walk to some beautiful views. Steeped in history its such a great place to visit. Suitable for all abilities but can be a bit slippery in places especially on the way down. Sadly a lot of dog owners also leave their dog's mess behind so watch where you're stepping!
