Great centre, came here with my 2 kids and they loved it. Staff were polite, helpful and chatty. The manager and receptionist both spoke to me about parties/ classes and showed me round the centre. LOVED

Both of my nieces have thoroughly enjoyed visiting Eddie Catz over the years. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly. They make time to speak to them both, making their visits extra special. The cafe is very accommodating catering for my youngest niece’s dietary needs.
A large and varied play area with segregation, including a fair size football pitch like setup indoor. Well heated and ample seating. The price didn't phase me but the cleanliness is very poor. We visited in the morning and I spent ten minutes scrubbing off the dried on food and drinks from all over the tables and chairs. I asked for some anti bacterial spray to just wipe down after, first they weren't sure they had any, then they couldn't produce any and tried to offer a cold wet cloth, which would likely have deposited more germs than it removed. A shame as otherwise I'd have been very positive.
Eddie catz in Newbury was not great. Really grubby. Staff are friendly enough but maybe not enough members of staff on hand at one time. Toilets don't seem to get checked as there was poo smeared on the door and urine over the handles and floor which was vile. Can understand kiddies are using them but these should be inspected every couple of hours?.. Not much for kids to do and over priced for entry!!
Very expensive for what it is, which is a pretty run of the mill soft play. 2.50 for a 6 month old to get in, just shy of 7 for a 6 year old, plus an extra quid for each parent. Play areas are reasonable enough, but have what seems like zero supervision for enforcement of rules. This often results in much bigger kids in the small children's play areas. But wait, the highway robbery doesn't stop there. Food could be described as 'overpriced' if you were being polite about it. My wife paid 2.50 for what looked like a handful of chips. Theres better places to spend your money. I won't be returning if I can help it.
Why charge adults to sit and watch kids? We are having the coffee anyway so no need to charge. Btw the coffee isnt even coffee, you pretty much get warm milk. Place is small and a bit dated, go to Madhouse way better value for money.
Amazing friendly managers and receptionist. Good quality food in the cafe. BEST SOFT PLAY IN THE AREA
Confusing pricing structure. Met a friend here (neither of us live locally). Tried to charge 6.50 to each of us for entry of an adult and a six month old - including a subscription that would lead to future free entry for the little one - which we wouldn't use as don't live nearby. When I said 6.50 was steep for a six month old who wouldn't do much, I was advised it included use of the toilet facilities. Really?! Great. Needless to say we didn't end up going here ...
