Having recently bought a new car I found it came with a basic audio fit. This meant I was unable to play music via my ipod/shuffle. I approached G7 with the request to connect an 'aux in' cable - something that I knew was possible and relatively simple. I was told that yes this could be done but one downside would be that I would be unable to use the CD changer as it would take the same connection (something I could live with, and had expected). On arrival I had to wait 45 minutes for the person who was doing the work to get back, I then waited another 30 minutes to be told that it couldn't be done. I explained that although not 100% I was pretty sure it was possible and offered to take a look on the internet and forums for any ideas. At this point I was told: "I have been doing this job for 10 years - if I say it can't be done it can't be", and given my keys back in a very blunt way. I have since taken the car elsewhere and within 45 minutes chose from 2 options and had the aux in fitted WHILST retaining full use of the CD changer. I would NOT recommend this business either for their customer service or results.
I used g7 sounds for all of my cars, I work for Eden Vauxhall and they have always been professional and efficient. Even helped me out of a few tight spots.
Guys........used G7 SOUNDS NEWBURY for my stereo upgrade in my BMW 530.,...was nervous to start as the spend was just over 4.000 pounds, G7 recomended A ROCKFORD FOSGATE solutiuon to intergrate with the factory fitted hifi system, i went for the rockford 360 all singing and dancing mission control, front and rear speakers, built in sub and 5 channel amp, finished with etched G7 logo glass and micro lighting. Gavin told me there was alot of work to do, and advised me it would take approx 4 days to complete. On the 3rd day i recived a phone call...............all done and dusted, drove over to Newbury to pick up my car.........WOW, was i impressed, looked awsome sounds amazing and 300 pounds under the cost quoted................BLIMEY. I would recomend G7 SOUNDS and all the fantastic staff to anyone, better than those other guys i used to use in Reading. and as far as the other review posted on this site im amazed at what has been writen..............Guys i wouldnt take any notice, i was completley looked after and feel ive had some of the best service and car care thats available out there. many thanks Gav (G7).......your a STAR
