I admire this spot! They serve first-cleass food, their menu is large, The chef in that restaurant is a professional, I enjoy a lot trying all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the customers is friendly. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.

What a gem! The 4 stars only due to 40 min waiting time for a sandwich. Scones and tea where very delicious. Absolutely loved how it was served and it did taste homemade. This place is a must go. If I'm ever back, I'll come back to this place and hopefully the full afternoon tea. Loved it.

Lovely cafe, nice food, views and price. Kids enjoy having a look out onto the river while having lunch.

Lovely little place by the canal. We drove from Southampton to come and have afternoon tea here in Newbury for a day out but remained a bit disappointed as some of the cakes were no fresh :/ obviously, it can happen that sponge cake goes dry if left unwrapped but it was not the only thing. Besides we got charged almost 50 for two afternoon teas and we thought that perhaps there could be a couple of extra sandwiches on the plate. I guess we just been unlucky with the food this time but the place was lovely to see.

Lovely place to eat. Friendly staff, decent prices and a good selection of foods, including plenty of vegan dishes. Variety of drinks too, available with normal and alternative milks (oat and soy). Highly recommended as a pit stop or to enjoy afternoon tea!
