Extremely busy tonight, I can see why! Front of house staff kept cool under the pressure. Our two cods were cooked perfectly, crispy and thin batter. Not greasy. Chips were moreish, fluffy and light. Mushy peas, spot on and not claggy. Only thing I would say is the curry sauce was very thin, but it did have a lovely taste, so it didn’t go to waste.

Nice crispy batter on the fish which isn't dripping with grease like some other places! Good sized portions. Very friendly staff who appreciate your business. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Newbury.

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I got to say the customer service is always excellent and they keep the place well kept constantly. Pricing is fair and they serve big portions.

Love it when fish n chips taste fresh and the batter is still crispy, good portion sizes, friendly staff and proper curry sauce! They even threw in a battered 'pig in blanket' which was so naughty but sooo nice. Proper chippy this, will definitely go back
