The new owners have really raised the bar here! Good beer and the food is amazing. Treat yourself to the artisan breads, oils and dips while you choose from the menu! I had the cod with chickpeas and chorizo, all i can say is you have to go and try it for yourself. My partner had the chicken and pasta, she loved it. We'll definitely be going in on a regular basis from now on.
My husband was at greenham common in 1980 and purchased one of these once a week from the three horse shoes, Can you still buy these?
We were looking for a halfway house where we could meet up with our Son for the occasional lunch and came across The Three Horseshoes in Donnington. Having eaten at many Pubs that provide an excellent friendly atmosphere with high quality, well presented food, I would have to say this place is up there with the very best. Nothing was too much trouble with a clear emphasis on Customer satisfaction, which is refreshing. We all had Starters, Sunday Roast plus Vegetarian option and Desert, all beautifully presented. Richard and Sara should be proud of what they have achieved with The Three Horseshoes. Their attention to detail and service is spot on. We will certainly be visiting more frequently from now on.
Fantastic Village pub. Friendly staff and clientele backed up with great food and warm surroundings. Thoroughly recommend to everyone in the area especially if you have a taste for Thai food.
This is a completely different pub/restaurant now, it closed down and has now been refurbished. It has re-opened a few months ago with new, talented landlords serving great food and good beer (albeit a limited choice).
Very nice little pub, small outdoor area by the river which is also nice, staff were very friendly, drinks and food fairly expensive but typical of the local area. We went on the gourmet burger night, fantastic food, very tasty! they were happy enough for me to pick and choose toppings that weren't really on the menu. A short walk up the hill leads you to Donnigton Castle which has great views of the local area.
Stopped for a coffee and juice. Friendly bar staff, warm, nice decor. Good batista coffee.
