these guys have curated a lovely space to show off the best features of antique finds and custom made furniture. there is a familial vibe that is palpable and unlike most other stores i have been to while buying things for my new place. lots of adorable finds at pretty reasonable prices compared to the competition. i’d be happy to furnish my entire home with stuff from this place. and the staff is friendly and calm and kind, which i appreciated.

I wish I had 10 stars to give Mill 77. We worked with the Mill 77 team to craft a new farmhouse table. Now we have a gorgeous piece that is built to our exact specifications (e.g., we wanted a unique grey wash - Gary and Evan matched it exactly), uses reclaimed wood from the area, and created by local craftsmen. We have plenty of furniture from Restoration Hardware and the like, but nothing could match the meaning inherent to this piece. We got to pick the size, base, color/wash, and more. Every table these guys make is likely unique, but I do not feel like I spent any more than I would have with one of the big chains. I could not be more thrilled with the result. The table has already hosted Christmas and New Year's dinner, Monopoly and card games, and an over-sized puzzle. I can't wait for all the memories we'll make with family and friends at this table. Evan and Gary were professional, responsive, and thoughtful. Even if you are not in the market for a new table, the store is unique and lovely, and worth the stop. A true gem on the North Shore.

I loved Mill 77 in its first location (an actual mill) in Amesbury. It was HUGE, so lots of room for furniture and they had so much cool vintage stuff to look at, even clothing and handbags. The best part was that you could get amazing deals. When it moved to its second location, which was smaller, it was still impressive though and seemed to have more handmade items too. There was a lot less room for furniture though :( But I still have my favorite piece that I got there, a black dog that was used in an old department store display (such an exciting find, I love dogs). I went to their new location today in Newburyport and I was just really underwhelmed. The prices are pretty high now, and they seem to have more custom pieces than vintage or used furniture that I used to love there. The space is not huge, and it seemed pretty sparse in terms of items for sale. A lot of the items confused me...were they old? Was someone trying to make them look old? I don’t know. There were signs everywhere that they are redecorating so maybe in the future they will have more of a variety of items. It has a much more boutiquey feel now and is so Newburyport it hurts (in terms of pricing especially). Good for them that they have found their niche, but I think I’m finally done going there...too bad, I just really miss the old Mill 77 :(
