48 Watt Street is one of our favourite Newcastle wedding venues! Your photos will look great, plenty of space to dance and it’s located in the heart of Newcastle NSW. You can also have the ceremony and reception on site. This is super convenient. 48 Watt Street is a must-see if you're getting married in Newcastle!
There are surprisingly few wedding venues to recommend within Newcastle itself, but 48 Watt St is definitely one of them. The location is amazing in the centre of town and being an old church, provides a completely unique feel compared to anywhere else. Being able to have the ceremony and reception here together is an awesome feature. Parks, beaches, the harbour and plenty of other great photo spots are within a block or two's walking distance. If you're looking for a Newcastle wedding venue this should be on your list.
The venue and staff were great. Initially we thought of the venue because of its aesthetic but found this was just the tip of the iceberg. 48 watt street was actually the most practical venue within the price range we were after and had the most inclusions. Being able to get married, drinks in between ceremony and reception(keeping everyone in the same spot) and have the reception at the same venue with the quality of the food and drinks that were on offer made it a pretty easy choice for us. Katie and the team made the lead up and the day relatively stress free and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Lovely place for a wedding or any function. Great old church you can set up how you want.

An amazing venue if youre seeing a love act or holdong your wedding. So much to do with this space to make it look amazing!
Great venue love the old windows and the feel of the front old church and the space in the hall out the back with the option of out door bar area really is impressive
