My daughter studied here initially doing Cert II in Hairdressing in 2017. She was truly happy here and enjoyed it. The real salon experience was really good and gave her great experience and understanding. she then went on to do Cert II in Retail Cosmetics as was recommended by the college. She has a disability and so did not have to pay, and she was given support she needed but not too much that she was then unable to cope in real life. In her search for an apprenticeship, a job agency setup a volunteer situation for her to assess her skills, as she thought she was one of the dreamers wanting an apprenticeship without any real understanding of what was involved. She had to backtrack and eat her words, when she found that my daughter really did know what to expect and actually had some solid skills. the hairdresser she did it with, was very supportive of her knowledge and skills and had said she would take her on if she was a bigger salon (sole trader). I would definitely recommend Advanced Careers College.
