I have been eating here for years and there has not been a single experience that wasn't amazing. Phenomenal food and drinks, gorgeous staff and a relaxing, tasteful ambience. Without a doubt, one of the best cafes in Newcastle!
Such a lovely place! Staff were incredibly friendly & helpful, coffee was amazing and these crapes! Delish! Highly recommend with views over Newcastle Beach
We went to Estabar for Valentines Day breakfast. Hubby had scrambled eggs with chutney on the side and sourdough toast. The verdict was ‘beautiful!’ I had the buckwheat crepes which arrived with fresh apricot slices, pear quarters, granola, hazelnuts, almonds and sweetened labna. It was all covered in a delicious fruit sauce. Best breakfast I’ve had for a very long time. I highly recommend Estabar for the food, the super friendly service and great coffee.
Cannot recommend Estabar highly enough. Staff were amazing, even in peak periods. Super friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Food was great for vegans and omnivores. Coffee was amazing. We were only in Newcastle for the weekend, but once we went once, there was no choice but to return for the second day. Mobility scooter accessible.
Estabar cafe in Newcastle is in a great location right on the beachfront, with a street level and risen area, it’s perfect to check out the waves and enjoy your brekkie outdoors if you so please. This was the best experience of our Newcastle visit, for the food was amazing and each and every staff member was so friendly and welcoming. Service was so fast and we were overall super impressed. You can grab eggs your way with a choice of additions. We both ordered scrambled, one with a macadamia and miso pesto and the other with brinjal pickle, feta, fresh curry leaf dukkah. These were both so tasty and a little different to the regular scrambled eggs we’d get so we enjoyed it a lot. They use local and fresh ingredients as well as eggs from Just Been Laid (JBL) and bread from local baker, Baked Uprising. Combined with a single 0 ‘paradox’ coffee, it was a great brekkie. The cafe also does house made seasonal gelato using milk and cream from “Little Big Dairy”. There’s also plenty cakes for those with a sweet tooth. We look forward to returning next time we’re in the area.
Very nice experience at Estabar. One of my many visits here. Bec and the team welcome everyone with crisp and warm Newcastle beach hospitality. Chatty teamwork to deliver high quality service and delicious (Swedish?) influenced food. The names take getting used to but the flavours are worth adding a few new syllables to your vocabulary. The bundt cake is to die for especially with a strong black.
Fantastic spot for breakfast. The food and coffee were both delicious! The main reason I will be back was the extremely friendly and helpful staff. I also love that the cafe buy fresh and local produce and give these businesses a shout out on their menu. What a great vibe!
