We were so lucky to have Rob looking after us after we landed in torrential rain on a seriously delayed flight with a 6 month old. Rob went above and beyond to get us sorted and gave us an upgrade to a much bigger 4WD to keep our family safe in the rain. He was an absolute legend. I don’t often write reviews, but his customer service and efforts definitely needed to be recognised. Thank you!

Highly disappointed. Everytime I hire from this Hertz they upgrade you (which is good) but then charge excessive amounts for trivial "damage" that they can not prove did not already exist on the car. They last charged me 1300 for this mark (see picture attached) on the car windscreen. I hired the car for one day, drove 60 km total. The time before that they tried to charge me for a new wheel because there was a bit of rubber missing from the tread the size of your pinky fingernail (again, 1 day hire). I highly recommend using Avis/Budget instead if hiring from Newcastle airport. I have never had a problem hiring from Avis/Budget. Avis/Budget also provide you with before/after photos everytime you hire the car.

I love the Q5 but must book. Walk ups get charged the most and I had to wait 40 minutes before getting a car. She had to call central reservation. Strange how they don't have a competent computer system that can talk to everyone and see what cars are available. I know school holidays are a busy time but I'm a loyal 5 star gold member. Avis across the floor had heaps of cars
Picked up a hire car as my car was being fixed. People were lovely and the car was clean and new. Totally disappointed that I was not told that I would be charged to pick up from this HERTZ. Was told they would take a 100 bond, but was never told of the 65 fee they would keep. Not impressed.
Branch manager was extremely inflexible and unwilling to accommodate our slightly unusual circumstances regarding living abroad for work yet using British license and credit card. Not the best welcome home to find we have to pay triple for a last minute hire car with competitor.
terrible service at this branch, gold member and yet again ignored and bypassed to serve other non members, too lazy to check the system properly, Edit 2 more weeks 2 more hires still the same worthless being gold, they dont even bother to ask!
