Do Not ! Use this store if you are paying with cash as you will be discriminated against, they are seriously trying to erase the use of cash payment. As we queued to pay for our chosen item we noticed that there was only ONE available for cash paying customers, the other five were do-it-yourself card/phone payment type, which just a few days before xmas was not good enough, we ended up being second in the line of three people at the front of the queue as the supervisor shouted up the line of people behind us 'CARD PAYMENT, THIS WAY' and people walked past us ( REGARDLESS OF SOCIAL DISTANCING) to be served and the three cash paying lepers were left there like lemons as people pushed past for their preferential treatment for quite a while as the person who was at the cash-paying-till was exchanging goods, when we started to grumble amongst ourselves the supervisor grudgingly went on one of the tills to serve us lepers, when our turn came, she never said please/thank you/have a nice xmas, will avoid using this store again, my advise to cash payers is to do the same!

Staff are lovely and friendly, more choice of clothes and shoes in this store.

Matalan is store that stocks about everything a family would need for clothing as it includes men's, woman's and children's items and all at very reasonable prices. From suits, tops, dresses, nightware and the like you will find it all here. They also have housewares goods, dinner plates, crockery, kitchen ware and bedding. If you need to try anything on there are fitting rooms available. The store is quite well laid out so you can find what you are looking for easily. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Although very busy at the checkout, expected in the run up to Christmas but, wasn't long before the queue went down due to plenty of staff at the tills. Excellent customer service throughout my visit and easy to locate the areas for what I needed. Massive store and plenty of free car parking facilities. size coin needed for trolley.
