You can't sit in ATM unless waiting for your grub, but it's worth a wait. Many places that you would normally visit for a sit down feed are now doing take away. You place your order and collect and all the way home your mouth waters at the thought of the delicious feast awaiting you in the little cardboard parcel sitting on the seat beside you. Often the reality does not match the anticipation. You'll not experience this from Mourne Seafood. We had cod and chips, (who knew cod could be so big?), and scampi. The freshness was hanging out of both and I can't remember having a cod that tasted so good. Restaurant quality grub in a cardboard box, unbelievable.

Excellent and speedy service. The staff were fantastic. Great alcohol selection. The fish and chips were excellent! Very tasty! The chips and mushy peas were great! Lovely presentation. The sticky toffee pudding however did contain cinnamon which we did not like. Will return and recommend to everyone.

Visited over a year ago now but the current restrictions have me reminiscing over one of the best seafood chowders and homemade brown bread I've had. Top quality seafood prepared with knowledge and great care. The restaurant itself is normally lively with very pleasant and attentive staff. Decent Guinness flowing as well. Looking forward to another visit

Eaten here a number of times and had takeaway also. Never disappoints, top class, best meal of Christmas 2020. Local Kilmegan cider is worth a try, I like the elderflower.

Nice restaurant but I prefer their other one in Belfast. Not sure that the takeaway fish and chips is a good idea. Are they a restaurant or takeaway? I feel the takeaway was putting the kitchen under pressure. Our main course was slow to arrive and the woman at the table beside us was quite irate about the slow service. The food was excellent though, I had mussels to start followed by Haddock and chips. My wife had the monkfish which she thought was very tasty. Well worth a visit if you’re on a day trip to Newcastle.
