This is a lovely Japanese restaurant with good ambience and service. I've been here with my missus twice; once for dinner and once for lunch and they're consistently good. The photos below are from lunch.

Had a Birthday Lunch here last Saturday. The food was absolutely sensational. However the service was very poor. As we sat down we were told we have booked the table you can only be here for 90 minutes. I booked online and advised we had a Birthday celebration. It took the waitress 25 minutes to come and take our entree order and didnt bother coming over again to ask for drinks. We were all drinking. We left to drink and celebrate next door as we were made feel rushed and pushed out.
Had a very enjoyable family lunch here today, food was tasty and service staff were friendly and helpful.
It does have a nice ambiance. Staff and service was great. However we did not feel it lived up to expectations. Shiitake broth was not flavoursome. Beef rib dish was very dry. It was an okay but expensive eating experience. Nothing that lifted the taste buds to say ‘wow’.
The food was fantastic, with the dessert gyozas a must!! Try the saki as well, but you need to book as Nagasaki is very busy. We selected a variety of dishes and shared which I highly recommend you do. Try the cherry blossom cocktail too.
I had an amazing Sushi Lunch with my Friend there. The service was very friendly and the location is great as well. We had the Chicken Box and the Assorted Box as a main dish. The seafood tasted very nice and fresh and I will definitely come back to this restaurant for dinner when i visit Newcastle again.
Nagisa is one of our "go to" Restaurants for dining while on the foreshore in Newcastle. Always top quality dishes made from the freshest in season produce. A quaint little place where the most important thing is you!
really really disappointed. We came in to celebrate our anniversary. Booked an outside table which was confirmed. paid a taxi 60 to get there so we could have a few drinks. Arrived at exactly 1.15pm for our 1.15pm booking. We were told when we arrived that there were no outside tables. We said that we had booked one. told sorry now not available. We said we were happy to wait . We were told not to bother waiting but we could sit at a table outside what looked to be a closed restaurant but could not order alcohol if we sat there. We were not offered any other table and so we left. I hadn't been to this restaurant but my partner who works close by suggested I try it. My partner organises lots of dinners etc for her work and regularly picks up orders for work functions in the range of 165. She wont be doing that again. Thanks for spoiling our anniversary. We went to Honeysuckle Social, spent over 250 and really enjoyed our afternoon.
