I have been using Dave & his team now for 10 years for the variety of cars that myself and my family own. From an Audi to a Corolla, Service has been excellent and is cost effective compared to dealers. I have referred all my friends when looking for a good mechanic.

Our company has been using NAS for servicing of our cars for several years and have found them to provide a honest and professional service. I had a mechanical problem with my car which could have had me off the road for several days. NAS fitted me in and got me going the same day within hours. Di, Dave and the Staff just got the job done. From sourcing the specialist parts, installing and testing for me to get to my commitments safely with minimal fuss, organisation and speed. I would highly recommend their services and like to thank them for their efforts.

After asking for a service to reach the total amount of 700 and include the fuel filters changed, I received an 732 bill with no fuel filters changed. He stated if I wanted that it would be another 100 at least. No worries. I got my gearbox oil changed and after driving away noticed it wasn’t shifting properly which was an issue. After contacting the mechanic, he said he’d have a look. He explained that he put the right oil in and there’s nothing on his part which he’s done wrong. He blamed the synchros (easy blame) and said there’s nothing else to be done apart from putting additive in the gearbox, he did this and charged me an additional 70. He said - quote, ‘if it doesn’t work then you’ll just have to live with it’. The mechanic put in 80/90 gearbox oil. After driving it, it still wasn’t right. I’m English and was traveling so I assume he’d expect me to not come back - which I didn’t. I took it to a different mechanic who in fact told me that the gearbox oil he put in was harmful for my gearbox and I should change it ASAP. I asked 5 different mechanics across the town and they said the same without a thought. After changing the gearbox oil, my gearbox now shifts correctly however it is damaged from the previous oil put in so needs repairing. I now have to ‘live with’ a gearbox rebuild starting at 1000. His wife is lovely and he’s alright to talk to but I wouldn’t go back there. Otherwise all good. Hopefully just a mistake on his part but a mechanic of at least 20 years should know a gearbox oil grade and if not check. Wouldn’t use again if I lived there sorry.

Very expensive for air con re-gas @ 272 but polite professional service EDIT: Was 4 stars now 2 from owner response. Car is 1990 not 1999. Engine shouldn't be complicated as you have mid engine vehicles in your pictures and its a standard celica engine. Cylinder head removal does not impact probability of AC leaks (of which there were none). I was told no dye was found. Owner quotes that its "illegal to knowinlgy fill a car with refrigerant without doing a diagnostic regas with dye" this is a lie as thanks to my profession I have full working knowledge of applicable legislation. It's a real shame as I considered 4 stars to be a positive review from an otherwise positive but expensive interaction.

I needed a standard car service but had some smaller jobs done that I didn’t request and ended up having to justify why I didn’t need work for my registration due 3 months later. The staff seem to have a high standard of their work and let me know of their professional experience with luxury cars, though I drive a Mazda and really just wanted a basic service. I’d suggest getting a clear quote and communicating exactly what you want done if you use this service.

Biggest cheats in Newcastle. Charged me 110 for just a 2 mins talk. David Lied to me over the phone and called me in the workshop which I only went to get the second opinion. Please don’t go to them, they are rude, cheats and extremely unprofessional specially David.

We had a crazy month and somehow overlooked sorting out the rego on our car in time. Got booked in the morning and was having a shocker of a day. These guys managed to fit me in on the same day to get a pink slip (and they were very busy), sorted out a tyre that wasn’t up to scratch (which was hard to track down), and were extremely friendly and helpful. My day would have been so much worse without them! So grateful!
