We took our Ace Aristocrat on 2nd March for a service, they rang us to ask where the key for the locking nuts were, we gave them permission to look in drawers, which they could not be bothered to do, and continued to break off the locking nuts, and replace with ordinary nuts,(which they charged us for) key was found in drawer with the service book which they had signed and stamped. We also had a new jockey wheel fitted at the same time, which when used for the first time collapsed off its centre. NSC manager said we must have hit a speed bump (last time I looked there were not speed bumps on the M6) We also had a funny smell coming from heater when first used, after reading previous review, we will get electrics checked. Needless to say we will not be using NSC again.

We collected our caravan from north staffs yesterday and couldn't ask for a better service. Even with it being a used van, they treat you like you've bought a top spec van straight out of the wrapper. A all round

North Staffs Caravans provide an excellent service. Don't believe any of the other negative reviews.

In August of this year I my wife and our four children went to Dorset for our summer two week holiday. Our caravan was serviced by North staffs caravans two weeks before we went. On the first week the microwave packed up. Later on in the week it got cool one afternoon when we came in. I put the electric heater on, on the 2000 setting, after about 30 minutes there was a funny smell which I put down to the heating system not being run on full for some time. A few minutes later the electrics blew a fuse. I reset the fuse and it blew again. We unplugged everything and reset it again, As soon as the heater was switched on it blew. Just before it blew I heard a loud buzz coming from the consumer unit. We unplugged everything and I rigged up an alternative supply. In the morning I had an electrician look at it and after he had removed the front of the consumer unit he found that a screw on one of the MCBs was loose and the wires had been arcing which he said could have resulted in a fire. the screw was tightened up and the rest of the connections were checked. Another screw on the other MCB was found to be loose as were three earth screws. A new MCB was obtained and fitted a few days later and the problem was fixed. On complaining to North Staffs Caravans they said it was nothing to do with them as they DO NOT check the electrical connections and as far as they were concerned the matter was closed. How many more caravans are about with dodgy electrics because they cant be bothered to check them properly. They are supposed to be an approved service centre. The faulty MCB has been kept as proof .BEWARE
