One of the best chippys in stoke on trent. The chips are. Cooked in beef dripping and the other food there is nice. Very clean and very nice staff. I will be visiting again.

THE GLITZD

Just the mere sniff of a distant Shaw's chip gets my gums moist. For as long as I can remember in my 40yrs Shaw's has always been the best chippy in town. I dream of their chips n gravy. Their fish is always fresh, tender & moist. It beats all promenade chippy's in seaside towns I've eaten in - including my beloved second home of Blackpool.

This used to be a lovely chippy but on this visit the chips were dreadful and the batter on the fish was really brown and hard but stodgy on the inside. After a wait we had to go to the kitchen and ask for our drinks as they weren't ordered. This isnt the Shaws I remember.
