My car went in to be repaired from the insurance and they repaired it really well, can’t fault the work. I noticed 2 days after picking it up the button on my electric window had been snapped. I spoke to them and they had a look at it then rang me a few hours later to say it wasn’t their fault. It went in perfectly fine and has come out damaged. I understand accidents happen but for them to not take responsibility isn’t on. Now means I’ll have to pay out for something that they damaged.

My partners car went in for minor panel work after a slight bump. Initially great, the car was booked in quickly, replacement car provided, all good. When it came to delivering the car back we had a call saying the car wasn't driving right and they couldn't drive it to us. After discussing the problem, Bristol Street said they couldn't do anything as it was classed as wear and tear even though the car was driving fine prior to going in. We had no offer from them to fix the problem or at least tell us what it was even though if in fact it was wear and tear we would have paid the additional cost for them to repair. Bristol Street dropped the car off at a different garage, collected the courtesy car and washed their hands of the problem. My partner is a doctor so a fairly important key worker at this difficult time and now has no car to drive the 40 mile round trip each day to work. The new garage are saying it's not a wear and tear issue and Bristol Street need to accept responsibility. The fact that Bristol Street were prepared to leave a customer in this situation for me is unacceptable and we now see the only way to get the problem sorted is with legal action.
