Gone downhill a lot since it has changed to Dobbies, Wyevales was much better. Coffee shop /Restaurant terrible, Hot Chocolates I ordered were Lukewarm so took them back and got new ones which were hot but weak as pee water and tea was weak too (as shown in photos) Disgusting for the price. Some of the Coffee shop staff unfriendly with attitudes when asked for serviettes but not all of them. Won't be returning to cafe ever. Garden centre ok but sell things like toasters and coffee machines also toilet rolls and medicine, which I think is ridiculous, if I wanted to buy them I'd visit a supermarket. Only giving 2 stars for the garden centre and plants as I would give a big fat 0 to the coffee shop.
Truly sorry to give such a negative response but today my attempt to upgrade my Dobbie's membership proved problematic, the solution offered being to issue a new membership and card. This would have invalidated my current card and vouchers eligible against it so I abandoned my attempt to upgrade. Dobbie's usually send at least one email DAILY (! - THIS IS TOO MANY TOO OFTEN!) often trying to persuade us to upgrade our membership. I would prefer not to do so on-line hence the stalemate.
Great store and Steven in maidenhead aquatics is very knowledgeable. Got this little guy today & 4 other friends. #amanoshrimp
As garden centres goes Dobbies has got everything if you are prepared to pay the high prices for goods. The non plant section is enormous though I am not sure that it was all open due to the Coronavirus outbreak. There were not many people advising or working on some of the non plant sections. The toilets also appeared not to be open and there wasn't many people in compared to normal. This could have been because it was an extremely windy day and many of the plants etc that had been blown over had been left as there was little point in uprighting them. All in all it suited us to have few people in the garden centre as we got served quicker.
