Came in to the bar and the tattooed barman with a quiff could not have been more disinterested in serving us if he tried. Spent 17 on a nice sriracha bloody Mary and a middle of the road filthy swine bloody Mary.... filthy swine signalling that it had some sorry of bacon influence; which was missing from the drink. I was fobbed off when asked where the bacon element was with; "its in the batch" I asked if it was infused and he said yes. His fellow bar tender then rocked up half way through the drink with a rasher of bacon. A staff force behind the bar that look like they would rather be anywhere else on a Monday. Cheers! What I also gather from reviews is that the owner is also only interested in positive feedback and isn't acknowledging the poor experience others have had.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. The place wasn't even half full and it took ages for the food to come out. The chicken burger was ok. The fries were undercooked and I sent them back. Unfortunately, it took 15 minutes for new fries to arrive and the meal was already finished. Staff very nice, location great. Probably a better cocktail bar than food place.

This place is great. The food is fairly priced and is very tasty indeed. Would I go here regularly: yes, Do I think this is a good addition to Newcastle night life: absolutely. The service was also very good. Great place, great cocktails. It's a little bit of fun. So if you want to put some happiness in your life, take your chops down to the launderette and have some fun.

The food was good but the staff don't know what they're doing. We asked for the hen do menu and the woman seemed to understand but never came back. When we queried the bill with later she again seemed to understand but again never came back so we had to go to the manager ourselves. They did take the service charge off the bill in the end but it did take half an hour to pay the bill.
We came to the Launderette for restaurant week and where really surprised by the quality of food and service. We didn't feel rushed despite ordering from a promotional menu and felt our custom was valued from the moment we entered. The cocktails where really nice and the food fresh and flavourful. The whole experience was so good we'd go back and pay full price. Definitely somewhere I'd recommend.
Well what can I say about The Laundrette... It's AMAZING!!! Everything about it is incredible, from the food to the cocktails to the staff. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely Girl, Beth, We were seen to our table straight away and given a minute to decide on our drinks. I LOVE gin so I couldn't resist their very own Soap opera Gin!! For my meal I started with Chicken wings and, oh Lordy, I could eat them over and over. My main was the Lamb stew and it was sooooo warm and lovely after walking around in the cold for so long it sorted me right out. The highlight of that dish was the Polents chips... NEED to get that recipe! Staff were very attentive and friendly... Do not have a bad word to say about this place!! Thank you so much for a great meal and fun times!!
