Choosing the right Funeral Director was very important to me. I visited a shortlist before deciding on Mark Wait and daughter. From the first meeting I was impressed by Mark's gentle but professional and thorough manner. His concern for and reference to my late wife by name stood out as genuine care - this was the funeral director for me. I asked for Mark's daughter to manage and walk my wife's hearse out of our estate knowing this would have particularly suited my wife. She did a brilliant job - thank you Kelsey. The celebrant likewise was brilliant - Kate Reed who I would highly recommend. Mark listened carefully to each of our requests and wishes (we have a large family) and helped us put together a wonderful service. Updates and deadlines helped us all keep on track and Mark was always available if needed and easy to contact. It was another positive that we were supporting a local business and we also had friends and colleagues who gave Mark glowing reviews and recommendations. We are pleased to join the many customers of Mark Wait and daughter ready to recommend and praise their work and business. Superb.

Choosing Mark Wait to take care of our dear mum's funeral was such an easy decision having spoken to other directors. I'm sure most dread the prospect of having to make arrangements alongside enduring the grief of loss - especially for those who've not gone through it before, as in my case. After first contact with Mark's daughter Kelsey, and first meeting with Mark, we felt in good, safe and sympathetic hands. With their sensitivity, patience and guidance, the weight of worry and anxiety was considerably eased. They continued to impress throughout and to the end, becoming very evident that our faith in them was very well placed. They are perfectionists who plan meticulously and well-deserving of the well-earned 5* feedback on here. I agree with all the positive words that others have left here so I won't repeat them. But do believe what you read. Their warmth and attention were reassuringly personal and genuine too, I imagine due in large part to the firm being a truly independent family concern who really know what they're doing. Costs were very reasonable given the quality of the service. Deepest thanks Mark and Kelsey, and keep up the good work...
