Update - Dec 2020: Further to the below, we sadly we lost our 99year old nana not after my dad and once again RW Barrett delivered in very way possible. This time they managed the additional complication of COVID and the Christmas break, and they did so impeccably. Thanks again. Iain. Original - Nov 2020: Flawless and Imperious - Thank you for a Very Special Experience The only place to start with RW Barrett and Son Funeral Services is to thank Steven and his wonderful team for their personal, respectful and professional service. They’re quite simply great people and the best at what they do. Proud Geordies as well may I add. The support and respect afforded my dad and our family was flawless and the preparation was impeccable. As for the send off, wow, the day and funeral service far exceeded all of our expectations. Tom Leighton was absolutely magnificent in all aspect inside the chapel. For the want of not repeating the same adjectives, Steven was quite simply imperious in all aspects of the service outside of the chapel. The Barrett staff were also simply superb - just very good people and that's all you can ask for. It is a day we all dread all of our lives, but when you are faced with the inevitable you need people like this helping you make it as memorable and respectful a day as it can possibly be. Steven and his colleagues provided a first class service during the recent loss of my father. He catered for our every need; throughout the entire journey, we couldn’t have asked for anymore. His dedication, commitment and professionalism totally put us at ease. He and his team are warm, friendly and reassuring. From the moment you walk through the door you feel welcome. I just want to express my upmost gratitude to Steven & his family. Over the past few weeks Steven was very professional, dignified & very respectful during the recent devastating loss of my brother Gary. Steven was extremely compassionate, caring and really put our family at ease he made us feel comfortable from the moment he walked in the door. The service was lovely, even during the current circumstances, no matter how difficult for us, it ran smoothly & done my brother proud. You do an Amazing job, myself & my family couldn’t thank yous enough.We highly recommend Steven & his team, they provide a first class service.
You do an amazing job, your dad came to my house in 2011 and couldn't have been more sincere and compassionate. I lost my mam in January 2018 and unfortunately your dad had passed away but you had taken over your dad's roll with the same compassion and sincerity. I would never had realised that my mam and dad had passed on exactly the same date 7 years apart if you hadn't told me. I was gobsmacked as I was by my mams bedside in her final hours as I was for my dad. If I was a gambling man I'd probably be a millionaire if I'd put a bet on for their time of death as it was almost certainly around the same time. I'll always thank you for that information as I'll always think of it as my dad coming to take my mam to heaven . You and your dad are genuine compassionate people who have found your vocation in life and I couldn't recommend your services enough
Had the pleasure of meeting Steven in person as we sadly said goodbye to my mother-in-law this week. A truly composed, compassionate and extremely dedicated chap. Would highly recommend his company when it comes to the very difficult task of organising a funeral. Thanks again for your flexibility and care.
