Didn't know this place existed till l visited. It's old, as is seating which was comfortable. They are trying to raise money to update it. I thought it was really quaint and will defiantly go again

Been a member for more than 20 years and been involved in numerous shows.Met many new friends and my wife there.The Kings Theatre is a friendly place,it's quaint and has a very special feel about it,almost like a second home.The shows are in the main very good quality and we teach and encourage people from a very young age to tread the boards,right through to adulthood.I would highly recommend everyone,especially people who live in the Newmarket area to come along and see a show at sometime in their lives.There is something for everyone,from Panto's to musicals,plays and even open mic evenings for up and coming local other talents.The shows are reasonably priced,there are some concessions and the friendly atmosphere make this little theatre a real jewel in the crown of Newmarket.
Lovely little venue, hidden off the main high street. Nice cosy feel, the venue is small and intimate, but had a great view - it does get warm inside there! Parking is limited, so we parked in the long stay carpark. Refreshments available in the interval which was a nice touch. Good time overall, I hope to return!
King Theatre Whole of the Year
For an amateur dramatics society an incredible amount of hard work goes in to the productions. It is obvious the passion and enthusiasm for the arts is held by the players and the behind the scenes staff. We'll recommended.
I visited your theatre for the first time last Thursday and was impressed by both the performance and theatre. However, the whole experience was spoiled by smokers congregating in or near the only disabled parking bay before the performance, at half time and at the end, leaving me with no option but to go through the smoke resulting in a horrific coughing fit due to COPD during the performance.
Friendly little theatre putting on a variety of musicals, plays, and an annual pantomime, mostly by their talented group of NOMADS which has a large youth section. I've been to many productions there over a number of years . I was really impressed with their production of Jane Eyre and enjoyed young NOMADS Seussical the musical. The annual Summer School is also well worth a watch. They have a bar and sell sweets and locally made ice creams. You can also book the theatre for events.
