Was in here on the weekend although covid-19 is going on we were greeted by a tall gentleman at the Door very pleasant from the outset we were made to feel welcome and the staff were equally as pleasant this has to be recommended and there food smells delicious. Was remarkable they were also doing a bit of funding for children school meals as they had there little petition going on. Amazing guys

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch a weeks or so ago and a great evening meal a couple of days previously. Shame we don't live nearer or would eat there regularly. Strongly recommended.
Great afternoon in this lovely, family friendly pub. Very welcoming and with good Covid safe measures in place. The landlady and staff are all welcoming and friendly despite being full to capacity and having to deal with torrential rain to keep people seated in the beautiful marquee fed and supplied with drinks!!
Well worth stopping for excellent \pub grub\ and ale. Reasonable prices with very sociable customers and staff
Absolutely love this pub and all the staff that work there, the landlady is very welcoming and friendly, eaten here on several occasions the new breakfast menu is amazing, all the food was locally sourced from local suppliers and tastes great would definitely recommend getting down there on a Saturday morning! the Sunday roast is the best in Newport, the beef and the homemade mustard is so good! All in all a good wholesome family pub with good food with friendly people and happy faces 5*****
