I use the gym and pool here and, on the whole it's a good environment for me and my family. There was a refurbishment a couple of years back and like the rest of the members, I was surprised to see that the changing rooms, whilst clean and refreshed, were still absolutely tiny and close to impossible for more than 1 person. There are 3 (yes just 3) family changing rooms... I'm surprised there aren't fist fights for them on a regular basis, they see gold dust. This aside, the pool is huge and shallow at both ends which is great for families with young kids. The gym is cozy but well equipped and the trainers are always available and helpful, more so than any other gym I've ever used. I just wish they had thought more creatively when they refurbished the changing area.

Most staff friendly. Great length pool, not bad pay as you go price. Seniors are discounted. Gym looks good and it's fairly new. Changing rooms always too hot and stuffy, needs looking in to.

My son has swimming lessons and he loves it. Usually the water is warm, it could be warmer, that's is why I don't give 5 starts.

We take the little ones to swimming lessons here and we find them very good and the price reasonable. It can get a bit hectic trying to get a changing room but usually not an issue.

Poorly run sessions. Paid in advance for splash inflatables. Session was supposed to start at 2.00pm so children were to arrive early to be fitted with life vests which we did. The previous swim was supposed to have finished well before. By 2.00pm they hadn't even opened the doors to allow the children through. They were still inflating the inflatables. By the time the children were called forward to join the queue 10 at a time it was 2.15pm. That cut the session right down. Also the ginger haired male lifeguard was hardly ever watching the children exiting the inflatable. Quite a few came head first or just missed the metal cables.

A very nice swimming pool for the kids. My kids really love it here. All I would recommend is for them to keep some form of ventilation in the pool area - it gets really suffocating at times.

Very standard leisure centre but staff are lovely & the pool is clean (from what you can see) - lifeguard on duty all the time too. Good pool for the family mostly, I've not been during adult only sessions or whilst there was some lane swimming. Slightly unusual that both ends of the pool are shallow, with the middle being the deepest. Even then, I can stand on my tiptoes, at 5'6.
