The main reason I chose this clinic in the first place was a reply by its owner “Edward Day” to one of the previous reviews. In my opinion, his reply seems genuine and written by a guy who values his business and its reputation. Here is my review and experience with them: I went to them with the mentality that I need a root canal. After the initial examination, X ray etc.. Dr Martin told me “You don’t need root canal, there is no infections or any medical problem that requires root canal, all you need is a few fillings” Top marks for Dr Martin! After this honest opinion I decided to carry on my treatment with them. I was given an appointment the day after. Treatment took 2 hours in 2 sessions at the same day “per my request, Xmas time!”. Excellent service. Deborah “the hygienist” ,Dr Martin “the dentist” and Lucy “the dental nurse” were all polite, professional and accommodating. Waiting room was clean, tidy and prices are displayed on a screen. There is even a file that contains all information about the clinic including pics of the whole team! Location is superb. In the middle of Newport with easy access to car parks and public transcription. The only tiny issue I had is their printer! I got a receipt from the card machine, but the printer didn’t work when I tried to get a printed one. All in all, my experience with them is one of the best I’ve ever had in a dental service in the UK. Highly recommended. Wish them all the success in the future. Sam.

I have only been to a dentist 4 times in the last 20 years. I chose this dentist because the reviews indicated they are sympathetic to patients who are nervous. I had two fillings and the service was excellent. I also had a scale and polish. This was an education for me! I had no idea that plaque can cause heart disease. My teeth look really good now and feel so clean. Many thanks for the support when I felt poorly after the treatment. I was even given a cup of tea. I will recommend St James clinic.

Really lovely team and I felt at ease with the Dentist (which is very rare as I am a very nervous patient!) He was very kind and caring and explained everything to me at every stage of the appointment! I will definitely be returning in the future for my dental care at this clinic. Thank-you to you all :)
