The Shakespeare Inn reopened on Friday 17 May 2019 after several months of closure and recent work carried out on the inside of the building. I briefly visited on Thursday 23 May 2019 and spoke to the landlord. The Shakespeare Inn has had an update to its interior with a large open area on the left of the building for relaxed eating. Large screen TVs have been wall mounted in the bar and side rooms. The Shakespeare had one real on offer , Marston's Pedigree, with two more hand pumps ready to serve other ales. The landlord said he was planning to offer Jennings Wainwright and Greene King Abbot Ale.
Absolutely fantastic. Authentic Indian food in a comfortable setting. The owners and staff couldn't of been more accommodating. Will be returning as soon as possible. Highly recommended.
First time visiting The Shakespeare Inn since it's reopening and new management . Can not rate this place enough for it's food as it was by far the best place to eat in town. Both the starter and main were very generous in portion size and full of taste. Staff are all welcoming, helpful and insuring social distancing rules were being followed. Defiantly be revisiting here again. Thank you for a wonderful meal A**
