Popped in for a quick drink with the misses and was greeted by a young chap at the door, he kindly explained the tier malarky and took my details. He sat us down in the restaurant and explained the menu so that we could order our "substantial" meal. Drinks arrived promptly and we ordered a burger off of the bar menu, which was really reasonable priced. Food was great, service was top notch. Will definitely be back

The central has a wonderful team off staff that go that extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. Food here was great, never any issues and good value for money we thought. Nightlife here was excellent pre Covid and it feels like the heart of Newquay. We would highly recommend this place, be it for a meal or an evening of drinks. Hope the entertainment can return in 2021, well done to all the team there for making the visit so pleasurable.
Excellent pub right in the centre of town and near the beach. Very friendly staff and a good range of beers. Sky sports too so I was able to watch the football.
More like a modern cocktail bar, really - not a pub in the traditional sense. As such, Central Bar & Restaurant attracts a lot of young folk; it is less attractive to middle-aged patrons like myself. That said, there is nothing wrong with it - the full range of alcoholic drinks is on offer, and several national and international lagers. Just not too many real ales - and only "conventional" ones at that. So I settled for Tribute, which is widely available. It was all right, fresh. However, the outside seating area is rather attractive on a warm summer night, especially if you're among a group of people. Which I was not, so I did not linger for a long while. Certainly recommended for young people.
Friendly staff and really nice place. Fish and chips were excellent and so was the children's burger. A great end to our first night in Newquay!
Outside seating area was a lovely setting to enjoy a drink. However the food we ate wasn't very good. Staff were helpful and friendly though.
Absolutely terrible. Seated at a booth for two which was okay. Drinks order taken immediately and we asked for a minute to look at the food menu. 30-40 minutes later our order was taken (fajitas and a cheeseburger) and I asked for a latte as well. Latte arrives and it was not great, incredibly bitter. 20 mins cooking time. Food arrives and the burger was cold and raw in the middle.
