Visited here with the family for a bite to eat. Food was nice, club sandwich was plentiful, pies were homemade, kids menu was enjoyed. Also: possibly the funkiest gent's toilets I've ever seen, I laughed out loud when I first walked in.

Good service, great food, friendly & welcoming, plus toilets were clean & amazing decor! Highly recommend this place, especially the stacked burgers, with reggae reggae sauce, & the Hunters chicken pie & mash. Thank you!

Wasn't busy the night we dined out at the Cribbar (Sunday in October). Food and service were to a high standard staff were friendly and perlite and the whole meal was a reasonable price.

The Cribbar is a large modern pub near Towan Beach in Newquay, Cornwall. The atmosphere is actually somewhere between a pub and a cocktail bar, and the range of real ales is very limited. I settled for a pint of Skinner's Lushingtons Sunshine Pale Ale, which was fresh and crisp. The Cribbar offers the full gammut of alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as typical British pub grub. The location is not quite so great (not close enough to the beach, and with no great view), in fact it seems a bit "lost". Sports TV is available, and of course, the football World Championships were on. (Fairly unattractive) outside seating is also available. By far the most original aspect of The Cribbar is the toilet zone - differently colored urinals and fairly elaborate installations - including a sofa???! Someone's imagination got away from him there. Very clean, too. Really, no place to linger for me, but fine for what it is - Newqay is not known as the real ale capital ... of anything, really.
