I started surfing with coach Mike on one to one private session and after 6months of fairly consistent lessons I joined their performance weekend, which was super helpful to understand where I needed to improve to get the confidence to go out on my own. I'm in my late 30s and thought learning to surf was maybe too late for me but Mike through his coaching totally proved me wrong! I can recommend Escape surf for anyone at any level. If you dream of being a surfer without any experience like me the coaches at Escape will have you ride those waves without a doubt!

Such a great experience! My boyfriend and I only did one group lesson this weekend but have had lessons at Escape previously. The staff have a skilful teaching technique that accommodates all levels. We always feel safe in the water and see progress even in one lesson. Ellia was a friendly instructor with great guidance for the range of skills in the group. Can’t wait to return! Thanks!

Got a lecture not a surf lesson. To start off.. The lady working in reception was fantastic. However things went down hill when we got to the beach. The male instructing us did not want to be there. Informed us in a very negative way that he was the owner and in his words 'only did private lessons and did not see why he was doing a group lesson'. Not the sort of words you want to here. He proceeded to go on about his surf experiences and that only his way was the only way and that all my previous experience was wrong. No advice or help was given. Might as well have thrown my 35 in the water. I went backwards during. Later in the week I hired from Fistral Beach and had a fantastic time regaining my confidence and teaching myself again after Escape surf school managed to take away all my skills and confidence on the water.

Spent the weekend in Newquay for a post birthday treat. Booked with escape and was not disappointed at all! The guys were so friendly and so helpful. We didn’t expect at all to even be able to stand up on a surf board, but the boys with their patients and talent got us up and off in no time! So much so we were confident enough to go solo the next day! A special Thankyou to Glenn, Reubin and Ilya who made sure we were safe, happy and surfinggg \u200d️

I loved my experience with Escape! Everyone was so nice, welcoming and laid back. The lessons were affordable and challenging. I’ve had 9 lessons at Escape now, and they’re amazing. This includes their lovely booking staff that are always there to help and welcome you. I’m been really lucky to have each of the instructors in different lessons and each and every one of them are extremely knowledgeable, energetic, friendly and humble. You never feel out of your depth nor bad if you don’t get something. Each of the instructors are always giving hints and tips to improve and the improvement I’ve made since my first few lessons has been massive, if something isn’t clicking, they’ll try all they can to get you there. I highly recommend Escape Surf School and shall be continuing to get lessons.

A massive thank you so much to everyone at Escape Surf School especially Pigeon, Glen & Simone. My 9 year old son and myself had 2 amazing surf lessons and managed to stand up during the 1st lesson.
